Outdoor wall lights with an E12 socket instead of the old lamps with an E26 socket. I needed the same light output as the E26 (800 lumens). So regular 500 lumen E12 bulbs weren't enough, so I tried these 800 lumen bulbs. LEDs made in China are often cheaper in quality than LEDs - they often don't last 20,000 to 40,000 possible hours and are often less bright than their rated specifications. Here 800 lumens appears to be about 10% LESS using a "full" E26 bulb as a reference for my eyes. UPDATE: DO NOT BUY. A 24-month warranty is useless; notified them via email (3 times) that a lightbulb had burned out after flickering indoors (chandelier) for around 100-200 hours and no response. Typical of Chinese-made lightbulbs sold at low prices, they don't last long. I brought various E12 and E26 bulbs and they last just as long as fluorescent bulbs, 2000-8000 hours, not the 15000-40000 hours possible with LED technology.
