I'm a big fan of zipped bags but I'm also a big fan of the environment so I thought reusable zipped bags might work. I'm most concerned about usability; good tight seal; and durability. I liked this set because of the different sizes. I washed mine when they arrived and then let them air dry. it took some time. But once they were dry it was nice to be able to just place them in my closet. I put a few things in some of the smaller ones - leftover onions in one and a packet of bacon in the other. Things fit well and close easily. I've used two to store freezer portions of homemade soup. They were tight and there were no leaks. However, they don't have a flat bottom, so it's a bit difficult to hold them open while filling them with liquid. but not impossible. I've only had them for a short time and haven't tried cleaning them after use and can't solve this problem. I also can't say how long they will last and continue to close tightly. but now I am a happy buyer. UPDATE: I enjoyed using them and was impressed with how I managed to avoid the one off packages. However, after a few months of use, I've found that they don't seal as easily as they did at first. If they don't seal easily and securely for more than a few months then they aren't doing the job I expected them to, which is why I've downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 stars.
