I wanted to be able to read full pages of PDF medical records that were sent to me. I needed a large, readable monitor that would work in portrait mode. The monitor came with a CD and I had to print out the instructions and download various drivers. The advice was to use the NVIdea driver. It did offer the option to switch modes, but after a few seconds the selected mode reverted back to landscape, and that's where the problems started. 1. Since it was not purchased from DELL, it did not have a "Service Tag". number and DELL has not spoken to me. They said it was a Revain issue. 2: If it is not installed on the DELL computer, you are suggested to contact the computer manufacturer. 3: AMAZON was very nice and the representative spent a lot of time on the phone looking for DELL technology. who is trying to help. 4: The technician from DELL wanted a serial number to set up a "dummy order number". 5: After removing this obstacle, he suggested replacing the cable. (The problem is not with the cable.) 6: Then he suggested replacing the monitor (but of course there were no problems with the monitor). One of the two DELL tech reps had no idea what they were talking about.9: When purchasing, make sure your vendor includes a service tag with the monitor, and you should be tech savvy yourself.
