I was misled by a video showing a gentleman moving the monitor arms up and down slightly (without using a hex wrench). After my stand was installed by our technical service department, I found that you need to use an Allen wrench to adjust the height of the monitor on the stand. I watched the video again and saw that the monitors were not placed on the hands as the Lord moved them up and down slightly. Well, of course, just waving your arms up and down with no monitors connected was easy! This is a very solid stand and the monitors tilt easily without the need for an allen wrench. My stand is across my desk. I love the extra space it gives me. The weighted base is very heavy so I expect the stand will be just as strong if the base is used instead of being put through a table. If you don't mind having to use an allen wrench to adjust the height of your monitors, I would give this one 5 stars. We order several of these for our office.
