I was going to use it as a table for standing and typing but I had to take a closer look at the specs - isn't it big enough for one such use, at least for an adult. On the other hand, at the maximum desk height, the keyboard drawer is just the right height for my arms when sitting in a regular chair, and the monitor top shelf is high enough to ensure good posture when you're sitting and looking at the screen. Unfortunately ALL building instructions are illustrated - a few words would make them MUCH easier to understand. Also, the word "adjustable" suggests that it can be easily adjusted after assembly. It's not relevant. To change the height, at least the frames would have to be disassembled and assembled. However for the price this is a pretty good table and I don't regret buying it.
