I also bought a plain pewter Iron Man key ring as I wasn't sure which one I like best, here is my review of the plain pewter keychain Then I'll tell you about the differences. First, the key fob is well detailed, the key ring itself is solid, but it's easy to open with just nails, so no screwdriver or anything is needed to open it. Overall the product is a good weight, it's not super heavy but you definitely notice when you pick it up and also a good sign that it won't break easily (at least I hope so). . Now as to the difference with a plain pewter keychain, this one obviously has colour, but the picture of this item is a bit misleading as it doesn't look as metallic as the picture. It's like they chromed the regular pewter and then added paint over it. Instead of the dark metallic shown in the picture, it's actually very light, almost like a color gel that's painted on and then baked. It still looks very nice and you could easily spot it in the room hanging between the keychains, but it doesn't have that metallic look shown in the picture. Still a great keychain and worth getting if you're looking for something different.
