This shelf was easy to assemble, especially as this shelf is a fairly standard design. lots of unused space below so we bought this shelf to make sure the shelves are evenly spaced and take up all the space. This is ideal for items such as canned goods. It is also helpful that the shelves have slight edges so that the glasses do not slip off so easily. It was almost a miracle that the shelf fitted the space perfectly - maybe as if both my closet and this shelf were the same standard measurements? But it worked because I measured the space beforehand and compared it to the measurements of the shelf (which were very accurate) and all I had to do to install it was slide the drawer in. Notch to accommodate this shelf. She looks amazing and seems like she's in the right place! The instructions are very easy to follow, although you do need to be careful with the plastic shelf adjusters to make sure they snap into the groove when you lower the shelf onto the shelf. Make sure the shelf fits snugly around the adjusters without damaging the adjusters. That's my way of saying that plastic controls, while capable, are cheap plastic. However, that doesn't mean they won't work - you just have to be careful. The saving grace is that it comes with a few extra controls in case you break one. Overall, this is definitely a 4 1/2 star purchase for me. I deduct 1/2 point for the cheap plastic controls.
