I originally bought these types of shoes because they were considered transitional shoes. Something recommended to me to prepare and strengthen my feet and make the transition to five toe shoes less traumatic to my feet. Well, they certainly have. Above all, I had to get used to learning to walk again. For those of you who don't know, I'll explain. With this type of shoe, as with the 5-toe shoes, you walk in them as you first walked on your feet as a child, ie toe healing. Yes, at first it seemed strange and awkward, but with persistence and over time it became less and less. It really makes you aware of your posture and the position of your feet when they hit the ground. This is really very cool! Now when I try to fix my old ordinary shoes, they seem clumsy and unfamiliar. In terms of quality, this minimalist shoe may appear thin and fragile, but it isn't. I bought them and started wearing them the first week of December in Santa Fe, New Mexico and wore them to work every winter. The outsole is surprisingly durable, I walk all day at work on basically anything but smooth concrete floors and uneven paved parking lots to and from my car every day. By the end of April this year, and the outsole still has a lot of good tread. As far as terrain goes, I put them on when I first got snow and stuff on a short hike in the mountains last January. Sometimes they even overcome snow-covered places 30 cm or deeper without any problems. Surprisingly, I came out of this hike with dry and slightly cold feet. After that I was very impressed with these shoes, totally convinced that I made the right choice, a sensible little investment in these shoes.
