Doesn't eat like that, I'm afraid

I use it to connect a keyboard and mouse to my laptop. But when I plug the phone in to charge it turns off completely at the same time. Had the same problem with another USB 2 hub from a different brand a few years ago. Somehow I overlooked that it uses a USB power plug. I wouldn't have bought it if I had noticed. I prefer the power supply. I'm so tired of buying electronics from Revain. 99% is garbage or fake. NEs went down the toilet a few years ago and I don't trust them either.
