Review on Portable White Machine Sleeping Travel by Michelle Collins

One of my favorite gifts for new moms/babies is the white noise generator. I am a strong believer in the power of white noise when working with newborns and positive sleep habits. It can drown out unexpected/uncontrollable noises such as a dog barking, a telephone ringing, a hair dryer, a garage opening, etc. Sounds are less intimidating when protected by a sound machine! As someone who provides emergency treatment to newborns exposed to drugs. they never find it easy to fall asleep or sound asleep in an excited state. In the last ten years I have taken over 70 babies from drugs to healthy, safe and clean daily routines. No! That doesn't make me a pro. I'm just good at it! The sound machine is really my only saving grace and I love the style of going everywhere. Babies, like all of us, seek comfort in communication - we do this through touch, taste, sight or hearing. The sound machine can do this. and yes! When these cute little ones move into permanent homes, I always say goodbye with "their sound" AND the engineer! A little trick that can also help a nanny, grandma or nanny. when mom is gone (That's my secret sauce!) I'm a little confused by a device designed to help someone fall asleep. Why do you put "ding" at the end of the command? Volume, timer, sound selection etc. Hm! The warning/ringing is preventing me from redialing in the future. I understand that some prefer or don't mind. but I have a feeling that the user can navigate without them. Because of this quirk I deducted x1 star - As for the positive - it has a lot! It's fabulous to use on the go! I can load and attach directly to the carrier with the built in hook - no problem! The battery lasted 6 hours. Errands (yes! I let it play under a blanket covered car seat so baby can feel safe AND I block out frightening noises - (outside the house. Those kinds of noises only get louder!) The buttons are backlit and each Option has its own control button along with emoji- yay! I don't like electronics "one button to control them all" - so that's an accomplishment! Easy to navigate and a night light in a warm environment won't disturb sleep !The audio is punchy for its tiny size and with ea .with sound in loop I don't notice most reboots.as you wish!For $20 it has its merits but there are a few quirks to be aware of.I hope , the information will help you in your decision - stay healthy and have a sweet dream everyone!
