I mostly work on my laptop on the couch that's on the chair in front of me. I thought I could use this to make room for my legs. In theory it works, but in practice: - each section of plastic leg has room to maneuver from side to side - there is nothing for the legs to prevent them from sliding on the surface - if you do this on a sofa, bed or similar using some other soft or perfectly flat surface, the table feels extremely unsteady and wobbles with every movement - the plastic hinges seem to wear out easily, especially when depressing the keyboard. The higher you make the table, the worse it feels. I don't trust my laptop to a table when it's raised more than a few inches and all the connections are at the lowest angle, like an accordion. At the time it was basically useless to me. I'm better off with a standard lap table.
