I love using these to prep food for long freezes in Food Saver bags. I take a giant Costco roast, chop it up a bit, and cut the rest into stew-sized chunks. I cook the stews and put them in these containers. I do the same with ground beef and then put the containers in the freezer. Once fully frozen, the meat can be easily removed from the shells, placed in Food Saver bags and vacuum sealed. This prevents the sealer from soaking up all of the meat juices into the sealing tray and keeps the meat in a convenient shape to stack in the freezer. I also like storing and transporting fragile items like crackers. I really like GG Scandinavian Thins as a low carb alternative to crackers and these bowls are the perfect size to fit in an open pack and carry around without breaking the thin crispbreads. I don't use them to carry lunch as they aren't waterproof, but they are very handy for fridge storage and short-term freezer storage.
