Doesn't leak well on handheld showerheads

Claiming no tape needed is a joke. The shower leaks at every connection. Using lots of teflon tape helped stop the leak at the shower head connector, but after a day or two the leak came back. I could probably live with that, but the leak where the shower head connected to the hose was quite large, and a few days after the shower was installed, water started splashing there, causing the shower to become unusable. I examined the threaded portion of the hose and found that a crack had formed on it. I only tightened this connection carefully by hand and did not tighten too much. This shower head replaced the old Delta shower head where the shower head jets were starting to fail. However, in more than 10 years of use it has not had a single leak. I did an experiment and installed Delta and Niagara components in different combinations (threads on the hoses were the same): Niagara showerhead + Niagara hose - no leaks Niagara showerhead + Delta hose - leaks Delta showerhead + Delta- Hose - No Leaks Delta Showerhead Showerhead + Niagara hose - no leaksThe results of the experiment indicate a design flaw in the threaded connection of the Niagara showerhead. Additional note: The Delta hose is much more flexible than the Niagara hose, which looks like a piece of PEX pipe.
