I did some research and search, bought another brand set, returned it. Came back to Oneida, read the reviews on this set, jumped at the chance and couldn't stop being amazed by the look and feel of this beautiful cutlery set when I opened the box! I was looking for some heavy duty cutlery to replace the set we received over 10 years ago; Unfortunately, Oneida has discontinued this template. This modern, sleek, stylish pattern is a great substitute, even better. We love the sleek, curvy, sleek style and it's basically the weight we wanted. In order to help others, I will indicate the weight using my kitchen scale, which I would like to have with me when I go shopping. To give you an idea, a knife weighs 4.2 ounces, a soup spoon weighs 1.8 ounces, a salad fork weighs 1.7 ounces, a dinner fork weighs 2.3 ounces and a teaspoon weighs 1.5 ounces. I just ordered the 2nd set of these and they should last us a long time! Oneida does it again! I highly recommend this pattern. Sometimes happiness can come in the beautiful, stylish packaging of Oneida, heavy, aesthetically pleasing cutlery! :-)
