It hangs securely on a metal IKEA trolley that I keep next to the seat I usually use in my living room. This is where I read sometimes and it's perfect for giving me enough light to read. I need a lot more light for handicrafts or sewing. It bends easily but is very strong and holds firmly to the metal. You just click to get and turn off 3 level light.
