I received this product for my first camping trip last year. We left two months after getting everything we needed. I can firmly say that this will support the weight stated in the description. The reason I say this is because we have everything set up to keep our dog cool, but since she is so spoiled she decided that she should lie with her father. This product was suitable for my husband and my dog. Anyone around 300 (200 lb male and 80-90 lb St. Bernard) can last a good hour. Although I think this is how we install this product on the tree, so please be careful and consider how you set it up.
