I received my Ordro camcorder today but I'm already excited about some video recording tests I've done. I am absolutely amazed by the picture quality of the test shots! I'm seeing quality that's equal or better than what I typically see on TV news shows, and that's no exaggeration. The fact that it comes with a wide angle and a macro lens was a huge selling point, but now that I have it I have more reasons to recommend this camcorder. The grip is very solid and the image stabilization you get from using the grip feels like you're holding the camera on a cart. The external microphone is clearer than the internal one. The LED light bar is amazing and illuminates the area being filmed with perfect clarity without being distracting. You have two modes to adjust the brightness and color warmth of the light it emits over a wide range of brightness and softness with a dial, rather than pre-programmed options that limit your flexibility, which is a welcome feature. There is also an LED light on the front of the camera itself, which is also very bright. I'm not sure if I should format the memory card. It seems to have taken care of itself after I uploaded it. The included remote control is very full featured and will come in handy when recording videos for Youtube. You can use an anti-reflective lens hood attached to either the built-in camera lens or the wide-angle lens. It also comes with a case bag for everything and a separate smaller bag just for the camcorder without all the accessories. The batteries (included with 2) charge just over an hour each, and a charger is included for you to connect the battery to, or you can connect and charge the battery while the battery is in the camcorder. Another nice feature is the ability to hold a pen on it while connected to a tripod. I've seen the grip on some other professional camcorders where you had to remove the grip to place the camcorder on a tripod. The touchscreen is much more responsive than some other camera screens I've seen, and the menus are easy to navigate to find what you need quickly and intuitively. (There is nothing worse than a bad UI on any electronic item. So happy with this UI). I'm sure this camera will be a great purchase for me and I'm very happy with the level of features and quality I've seen so far. I'm really looking forward to using it. I haven't taken any photos with it yet, but I'm sure those photos will be awesome too. Bottom line, if you're looking for a full-featured camcorder with professional, broadcast-quality images and lots of extras that typically cost hundreds of dollars more, this is the camera for you. I know it says out of stock here but it's available on ebay for the same price and they have other camcorders of the same model but with different features here at Revain. One comes with a telephoto lens. The level of value that Ordro offers is overwhelming and no I am not compensated for positive comments, this is my personal opinion given without compensation.
