I brought a spare Nintendo Switch dock so my kids can also play their Switch on the TV in the guest room when using our main TV but it didn't come with a power cord. The Switch and Switch Docks use a USB-C cable, but a regular cable will not work. You need one with a power supply that provides enough current flow. Although this type of power cable is incredibly expensive, the price of this cable is relatively decent. The price still seems a little high, but it's actually very good quality and is selling for a little less than most of its competitors. The quality of this adapter is the same as the one that came with the Nintendo Switch, as well as similar cables that came with the Chromebooks we took to teach our kids.
