The appearance of the shoes is very comfortable. They go well with business casual and jeans. The upper is made from unlined suede, while the outsole is made from a non-removable fabric covering a lightly cushioned insole. They are light and flexible, and the sole of the shoe provides good cushioning when walking. And for gliding, they don't slide when you walk. Suede will certainly patinate and wear over time, which is to be expected. After some noticeable wear I would classify them as casual wear only. In terms of size, I wear an 8.5 in most dress shoes and a 9 in most sneakers. I ordered them in size 9 and they fit just right, 8.5 would be too small. They are also wide enough for my average foot width. What I don't like is the extreme arch support built into the shoe. I have never felt such a high arch in a shoe since I bought Earth Shoes a long time ago. It is enough that after a few hours the leg feels tired and unsupported.
