These are good bags: big size, good closure, great price and no more plastic bag waste and environmental damage. However, my needs are somewhat unique. I lead a nomadic lifestyle and don't always have access to a traditional fridge. When I'm not doing this, I use an ice bucket. I've spent so much money on plastic bags that I've used up to 3 at a time to protect my fresh produce from getting wet from melting ice. I bought these bags hoping they would keep my fresh produce dry. They keep food dry, but not 100%. I found another bag at Revain which is perfect but a bit pricey. But I've found that if I use another random plastic bag to just wrap the item and then put it in this bag, everything works fine. I also have some reservations about washing them as the corners don't fall out completely when you turn them inside out. But no mold yet. These bags are still custodians as they protect the environment and are perfect for other uses.
