It is a fairly good mat BUT it is thin. Actually had no smell on mine and arrived folded but I was able to get the fold to lay flat. My only problem is I was wrapping presents on my table and didn't move the mat and then I use a rotary cutter which was a big mistake as it cut the mat. As I make custom silicone molds, I simply applied a thin layer over the cuts to repair the mat but again : it is thin so the cutter went right through it with almost no pressure. Eventually I plan on buying a second one and using my silicone mold material to combine both into one thicker mat. It also stands up to acetone and ABS slurry (for fixing 3D prints) so it's worth the money and I plan on getting two to combine for my second work table.
