Review on πŸ’“ EMAY Portable ECG Monitor: Wireless Heart Rate & Rhythm Tracking for iPhone, Android, Mac & Windows by Andrew Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great little device for us people with arrhythmia

, I needed something I could use at home to check for signs of atrial fibrillation returning after IVI ablation. I read quite a bit about all home heart monitors and settled on the Emay EMG-10. It's small, light and looks well made. That's why I chose Emay: I really like that one of the sensors can be placed on the chest and not just on the fingers like many other devices, if you want to check your heartbeat it seems like an easy task ( I think the doctor's office EKG). It also interprets the test result and lets you know about potential problems without having to wait for someone to review the results or while you're trying to interpret the curve yourself. It stores the 100 most recent results on the device and allows you to download any or all files to your computer (the software comes on the flash drive provided). This means there are no subscription costs. The reason I only give it four stars for accuracy is that it can't compete with a filtered multi-lead EKG in the doctor's office. The only improvement I can think of would be if the test results could be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet. By the way, EMG-10 showed "possible arrhythmia". A visit to my cardiologist confirmed that my atrial fibrillation had returned. I still really like this device.

Pros
