Nice shelves at an affordable price. Unlike some self-adhesive shelves, they don't come with adhesive already, but come with several 3M sticky pads (4 per shelf) that you need to attach yourself. It's actually better than pre-applied glue because you can move the patches around as you stick them to the tile (so the glue sits on the wall and not the crack). The adhesive appears to be quite strong - not paint safe as others have pointed out. It's a bit tricky to peel off the red side of the glue - all you need is a little patience and some nails or tweezers. I've used them on glass, tile, and cement wall surfaces and they seem to be holding up pretty well. I wouldn't put anything heavy on them, 4-5 pounds max, just to be on the safe side. I use mine for these little planters that weigh 11 ounces each.
