Unfortunately it wasn't clear after seeing the number on the front of the device. that it does not show the exact PPM values for H2S. It shows OSHA levels of 10ppm and so on. Kind of an alarm clock. We are trying to measure the release of H2S from alluvial algae that are parasitic in the tropics. So at least 10 ppm tells us if it's dangerous. But even lower levels are a problem for children and the elderly. It would be nice to have one that could deliver lower levels. It works, but it was difficult to get to the tropics and now it may not offer what we need.
