Review on 65" TV LG OLED65CXR 2020 HDR, OLED, black by Jhalak Jhalak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Bought for movies (Apple TV / Netflix) and games for Xbox, and so far brings only endless delight every day. Especially in movies and games with 4K and Dolby Vision support. I try to turn off all fashionable image processing modes - the set-top box works in game mode, Filmmaker mode is turned off for Apple TV so that it is "like in the movies." Before that, there was a Pioneer KRP-600 60 "plasma and after it it is impossible to watch anything other than OLED. There was an attempt with the 2022 Samsung Q60T, but after a couple of months it was donated to relatives and LG CX was bought in return.

Pros
  • - Color and incredible viewing angle. Forget about Samsung QLED - the only 2022 line that can more or less compete with this TV is the Q80T at a very comparable cost. The ability to turn off pixels individually gives incredible contrast and blacks, while Dolby Vision and HDR, coupled with 4k resolution, turns the picture into a fantasy. - There is support for all technologies for the new generation of set-top boxes, including VRR and support for 4K @ 120Hz mode - Game mode with very low response time. - Design. The TV screen is three times thinner than a finger.
Cons
  • - Expensive even with discounts, but rather the problem is not the model / technology, but simply the fact that large quality TVs with excellent color reproduction still cost an average of a couple of thousand dollars. - Built-in sound of decent quality, but for maximum effect you need a set of acoustics or a soundbar (with support for Dolby Atmos - generally ideal) and this is another half of the cost of the TV, if not more.
