Be careful with this brush. That's very rude. When I first used the brush it made an awful noise. So I grabbed an old record that I don't listen to anymore and wiped it over it. Has left visible signs of wear. Of course I applied a little pressure, but not much pressure. I figured if a single use of light pressure could leave a scratch on the record, how much damage would repeated use do to the record's grooves. I didn't want to risk it. It's almost impossible to replace some old records and I have many that are over 40 years old and still sound pretty good. And I want them to stay that way. For me, this cleaner just wasn't worth the risk. Plate brushes aren't expensive so I'll look elsewhere.
