I have some old laptop hard drives and SSDs and was looking for a way to make them more useful as external drives and backup drives. I liked the fact that this case was USB-C as it was more convenient for more of my modern devices that now have these type of connectors and also used with older USB-A connectors with a different cable be able. Very bright blue power supply and red R/W LEDs on the back/bottom of the case are good. I also like the transparent case so I can see at a glance which drive is in the case and I know which one I need. A few downsides to this case: It's a fingerprint magnet and doesn't close tightly. In particular, the sliding front of the case slides down a few millimeters when connecting cables, allowing the front to detach from the edge and allowing the case lid to push down with the slightest effort. This can be softened up a bit with a few pieces of tape on the sides, but I don't have to. All in all, this is a really good case. Would buy again.
