We're in a typical pre-war New York building, so it's like living in a sauna year-round. This blanket is light and fluffy enough to get the job done without suffocating you. As mentioned, the colors are definitely more muted than the photos in the listing, but I really like it. A photo I shared shows the quilt versus an Old Navy dress in the same pattern. Honestly I think these are just weird photos (probably footage) because to me they look the most like other photos of him on the bed - darker just not as bright. I'll say the only thing I didn't like about it . The set had odd brown stitching - it would have been nice if navy blue or green had been used. It also appears to be pulling/possibly tearing even the ceiling material in some places (will update review if this happens). Other than that, I'm happy with this purchase.
