I bought this skirt for about $14. I bought it after Christmas so I don't know if it was a discount or not. I was tired of the cheap red felt skirt we had. I stumbled across this skirt and was blown away. I love all things glittery about Christmas, the more glitter/glitter the better. The first impression is a true rose gold color. Second impression is VERY thin material. The description called it a high density material. You can see through it! It is almost tulle like material with sequins. There are gaps between the sequins which explains why you can see through them. Because the material is so thin, he just wants to lie down because he can't. Since we have an artificial tree, this skirt practically just outlined the metal base. I was hoping for a skirt that would hide the ugly base. I tried to enlarge the butt by wearing a cheap red felt skirt under this skirt. Didn't help much. You could see the red through the rose gold sequins, which made the entire skirt appear pink due to the gaps between the sequins. Another problem. They put a very cheap velcro on it. This is a hard plastic velcro, not easy to break. The rough side of the velcro is always trying to fall onto the tulle backing. Once it's stuck, be careful when you tear it as I'm sure the material can ripen. Manufacturer's Note: Use SEVERAL velcro straps or ribbons to close the skirt. A full length of Velcro is overkill. When I carefully removed the skirt quite a few sequins came loose, not tons but more than expected. One last note for the manufacturer: maybe attach a matching fabric to the back of the skirt so the velcro will do the trick. I want to glue and thicken so that it is not visible. All in all, not a terrible rock. Just change something. Also, I ordered a 48 inch size for a 7.5 foot tall tree, everything looked fine.
