This is my favorite casual shirt for South Florida, where long sleeves are essential for sun protection but the heat and humidity are oppressive. Worn over a moisture-wicking tee, this shirt is a winner as the Columbia Bonehead is surprisingly well ventilated. Ideal for beach walks, fishing and everyday life. Walk around here and you'll see people wearing this Columbia PFG shirt everywhere, and with good reason. My oldest shirt is about four years old, has been worn heavily and is still holding its shape. I was surprised (shocked!) to see the low average rating for this shirt given how popular it is around here and how well it works. . Then I read the reviews and realized that most of the flaws are related to the size. This shirt (like most Columbia items) is oversized by a full size. I usually wear medium, but for this shirt, small fits me very comfortably with some room to cut out. So order one size smaller. I prefer this cotton version of the shirt. When I know I'm going to have a sweat fest, I wear it over a sweat-wicking polyester tee for the best of both worlds.
