Review on 🔪 JB Prince Straight Tip Tweezer - 10 inch: Precise and Versatile Kitchen Tool by Shannon Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Soft and responsive

I have Mercer 6" offset tweezers, Rösle 12.2" and now JB Prince 10". Since I cook in the kitchen every day, the quality of my tools matters .All three tools are of good quality but there are clear differences in closing force. To test this I put them all on a gram scale and weighed how many grams of force it takes for the tips to 'close' (this stands unrelated to the amount of force required to actually hold the item as this will depend on the weight of the item - and will be a lot more). I squeezed all three from the lowest point of the finger grips. Mercer took 2100g for the Closing, Rösla 1800g for closing and JB Prince 350g That's a big difference!Fivefold difference compared to Rösle! You really feel that difference. This means it's sensitive enough to be smaller e to accommodate lighter items such as microgreens and flower stems that you could easily crush with the Mercer due to the force required to achieve closure. It's also wide enough (though not as wide as a Rösle) to roast the thinnest cuts of beef and tough vegetables. This is a great all rounder and I can see why some chefs say this is the only pair of tweezers/tweezers they need! I sometimes see myself using these in place of the Rösle, although the Rösle's extra length and width is still useful, they almost immediately replaced my Mercer frangible cover tweezers even though they're nearly twice the length! They also fit very well in my knife set and sit next to other tools without interfering with the blades of my knives. I really recommend them, especially compared to Mercer tweezers!
