We like this scale better than our old scale. The special nickel-cadmium battery in our old scale died and it costs more to replace than to buy a new scale. The ability to remove 3 AA batteries not only protects the scales. but they are easy and cheap to replace. The scale's functions and menus are easy to understand and use. We got accurate and reproducible results by weighing everything we tested them against.
