This product is ALMOST compatible with the 2020 MacBook Pro. It's so close to a fit that I ordered a replacement, thinking it might have warped otherwise from being left in the North Carolina heat. Again with the same problem. It feels like it should match the 2289, but there's a slight crease down the middle. Otherwise, this case is BIG! I really want it to match my laptop model (I was stupid and forgot to check before ordering). This case is made of hard plastic that feels solid and not flimsy like most cases in the same price range. If you have the right model I highly recommend this product. The product and its replacement were delivered 20 hours apart. Put the TOP of the laptop on first, then the bottom. Do not use force or you will scratch the laptop. Should snap easily - although I wanted it to detach, it came off without scratching or breaking the laptop. Great product I think.
