Complete garbage! in Handlebars & Components

Wish I had never bought them! Here are some details to save you the trouble so you don't end up like me: 1) Although the rubber insert comes in 3 sizes, the quality is terrible. One of them broke when I put it on without much pressure. 2) Because the end cap is so thin there is nothing to grab and once the rubber swells from tightening it all twists together so it's tough. really tighten. I'm sure they pop out once I start riding due to the vibration. 3) The construction is very poor, no bearing/rotation possibility between cover and whole part. It's not a problem on the left brake lever side, but if I tightened it at all on the throttle side, the cap would pinch the throttle/handle thereby restricting movement of the throttle itself. So why did I say the vibration would probably turn off? Well, this is where the real fun begins. Realizing it was jamming my throttle, I unscrewed it to remove it, but the end cap (yes, it's a plastic cap instead of a metal screw) came loose in my handlebars! I ended up having to tilt the bike to the right with the help of a friend to get the part out as I didn't want it rattling inside. Because of this I was afraid to remove the brake side so I left it as is. I then cut a piece of one of the extra rubber bands, threaded the right side and tightened it with two thick sheet metals to prevent the handlebar ends from tightening on the throttle grip. Generally while they are there. but I have little doubt that they will remain. I'll update after I've actually ridden them and see how they hold up.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
