Rated for 6,000 sharpeners (according to product manual supplied), not 10,000 sharpeners as advertised. Feels cheaper than expected. The plastic of the case does not feel high-quality, but it is completely sufficient. According to the description, the case is made of metal. The answer to the question that says the case is metal doesn't help. It is not; it is light plastic. The motor "pulls" a little when sharpening (a small motor), but it sharpens well. Weighted below, but most likely inside they won't be much better than cheap units. Hard to understand. The UL listing stamp is attached to the side as if it were a special feature of the product. I think the manufacturer thinks it means a little more than it means. It's usually hidden inside or underneath. I need it and it works. I will not return but I will not buy again.
