So far so good. I don't think the original cartridge lasted very long but since we were so excited to be able to print again I could be wrong. However, I know that I didn't use up a whole ream of paper (500 sheets) with it. At the same time I am satisfied. I know people complain about the noise, but really, once it turns on and runs through the initial noise (a few seconds), I don't even notice it. I usually just turn it off when I'm not using it, but when it's on there can be a slight hum, but nothing that really bothers me or something I can't turn off. As for the print, I'm over the moon! We've had so many problems with other wet ink printers. They ALWAYS dried out even when we used them daily. Yes, this is only a black and white image, but I don't or almost never need color. And we now use a regular cartridge (OEM) and haven't had low ink levels or issues with it and I know we've printed a lot! We've had it for over a year now and it works great! I would recommend it if you are looking for a cheap black and white printer.
