Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ HEVILLO 40 Pint Dehumidifier for 2000 Sq. Ft Home Basements - Intelligent Humidity Control, Continuous Drain Hose, Large Room Capacity by Charles Mathews

Relatively adequate product, but smart company

We bought a pair of these to reduce humidity in a house that is often empty and the air conditioning does not work in the warm season. In general, the goods are fine. It looks pretty cheap and has pretty clunky controls. The drain hose that we want to use in place of the catch bucket is very flimsy plastic. It's fairly quiet, although we're less concerned about that since we'll leave it running when we're not around and the regular AC running when we're away. The user manual isn't well-written, with lots of grammatical errors and a few inconsistencies, but the device is fairly standard in terms of options and controls, and is simple enough to tell if you've ever used a dehumidifier. My biggest concern is for Hevillo itself. . The product registration QR code takes you to a broken link on their website. The site itself has an expired security certificate (usually indicative of a company that has gone out of business) and I accepted McAfee's recommendation not to visit the site. As such there is nothing exceptional about the quality, price or value of this machine and I would steer clear of Hevillo products rather than any other brand that clearly still exists.
