The quality of the softness is amazing. The controls are really nice and work well. You can feel the wires, but they're not that bad. The duvet is huge too, making it an AMAZING value for money. BUT the heat is distributed unevenly, which honestly isn't that bad. It heats up very quickly, but yes, more where your feet are going to be, but not enough where you feel you can't warm your body. I love this duvet and while it doesn't warm evenly, it's perfect. I live in California so 4-8 works great and 2-4 makes all my kitties very happy. Recommended, just keep that in mind. Other blankets have scary burn images, don't warm as well, or are made of very cheap fabric. I'm glad I gave it a chance!
