They are plastic and appear to be quite strong, none broken/cracked (bought 200pcs).1. They seem really cheap, maybe they're just very light and have that little plastic circle in the middle of the plates (you know that little plastic circle you see on things/plants and then realize it's fake or plastic). .2. Second, they are very flat, the panels have a slight curve towards the edge, a very low and flat profile between the center of the panel and the edges. Again, they feel cheap. Overall these plates are good for casual dinners, BBQ's etc but I regret buying them for a wedding because they look and feel so cheap.
