I really like this mug but I only lasted one day before the paint/sticker chipped. I have other color changing mugs that I have washed in the dishwasher many times against the manufacturer's recommendations and they have lasted well over 1 year. This Mario mug is very fragile in comparison. I left it in a tub of water overnight along with other wash-only essentials that softened the color-changing label. I saw that there were tiny bubbles on one side of the label and when I rubbed one of them the sticker rubbed off. This is a great gift for any gamer, it's really cool and the mug looks extra cool when it's only half full. But you have to be very careful: do not soak, do not use water that is too hot, do not wash in the dishwasher and avoid a hard brush when cleaning.
