The lamps came boxed straight out with a piece of foam between the sides (as pointed out by another reviewer). Both of mine worked great, but I would have preferred to have them packed in a case for a bit more protection. But overall it was acceptable. The UV performance of the lamps seems to be good. I've tested some UV reactive items around the house and seem to be getting good results. When deciding which lamp set to buy, the first thing I looked at was the wattage per dollar. I wanted a pair of lamps with the maximum output I could get for the price I was paying. I chose this pair of 60 watt bulbs. I hooked them up to my wattmeter and each only draws 40 watts. It seems to me that either: they were accidentally mislabeled (the dial says 60 watts), or (most likely) the sellers don't expect consumers to encourage them to sell less wattage products at higher prices. I have contacted the seller and am awaiting an explanation for this apparent discrepancy between advertised and actual performance. I will update this review with more information when I receive a response.
