Like the other reviewer, I have a TCL Roku TV and a Vizio soundbar that the TV can't control. This remote works great allowing me to use one remote for my TV and soundbar. There is a quick button combination that you need to press to set the remote to work automatically with the TCL Roku TV. You can then program individual buttons on the remote to work with your soundbar. To do this, you need a working soundbar remote control. Basically, this universal remote reads the signal from the soundbar remote and copies the signal. For my setup, I programmed the Sling button to turn my soundbar on and off, and then I programmed the volume up/down and mute buttons for control. My soundbar, not the TV. Everything was installed in a few minutes, without any problems. Uses 2 AAA batteries. Couldn't be happier!
