Review on ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Ouidad Climate Control Humidity-Defying Advanced Formula by Amy Mears

DO NOT BUY THIS. INSTEAD OF TRESS EFFECTS, BUY GEL.

I really wanted to like it! I've been using Ouidad products for about 9 years now and for at least the first 5 years my only options (classic curly hair, slightly dry) were moisture control gels and curl quench. I found out early on that Curl Quench Gel is useless if there's even the slightest hint of moisture, but it's wonderful in winter with its dry air and that's why I live in southern (humidity!) October and Curl Quench the rest year unless it rains while I'm doing my hair. Then the Tress Effects Gel came out and I fell in love with it and really only used the humidity control from June to August. Sometimes it was a bit crunchy, but it always looked nice. WAS J. Ouidad changed its wording since I last used it (sometime mid 2017) and now it's more expensive and it's called "Advanced Climate Control" and it's NOT the same - in a bad sense. I expected it to be even better than the original moisture control gel, but it didn't work. I had to apply a ton of it to my hair - like reapplying to areas I KNEW I had already applied a little - and not only did my curls not hold together, they were a little limp. I figured it would be fine and perk up once it dries. NO. My hair got frizzy as it dried and a few hours later it started raining outside and again the next day and ended up with a head full of curls, even though I was only out for ten minutes both days (and not at the time when it was). . Rain). In short, DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU WANT SMOOTH, TOGETHER KURORI. BUY TRESS EFFECTS GEL and strengthen your ends with Styling Mist. Tress Effects Gel costs less and makes my curls look nice and bouncy without being frizzy; They stay together but don't crunch.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good
