Because it is made of microfiber, it has a strange soft, but not soft, but kind of sticky, strange feeling. Velcro is extremely "aggressive"; he passionately clings to everything that comes close to him. This is good for keeping the packaging closed. But it's uncomfortable when he's clinging to a towel or anything else that hurts him. Foil is good for camouflage. It does a good job, but overall "you get what you pay for". I will spend a little more money in the future and get more comfortable terry cloth. Update: while it's fine as a quick wrap after a shower, the stiff velcro makes it uncomfortable to stay in for long periods of time. In addition, the Velcro was found to tear the fabric it had gripped after multiple uses.
