I have bought 3 pairs of this brand in all 3 colors. The first 2 pairs I bought I chose 8.5m and they fit perfectly. I found them comfortable but with thinner socks. For my third pair I decided to go up a half size, 9M and I love this pair even more. Now I can wear thicker socks and feel comfortable in them. Now the toe box is a bit narrower than my other shoes, so I went up a half size. I don't plan to run in these shoes but I use them for a good workout at the gym. I walk a lot on concrete roads and I hope they hold up. New Balance has always been my favorite brand, but like many things today, the quality isn't always the same as it used to be. Considering the price I paid for these shoes I will keep my expectations low. I still love her!
