Review on Enhanced Performance Lincoln II Plus 10/12 Meter Ham Radio by Jathan Louis

I wanted a Lincoln 2, when I first saw it it was either a Lincoln or a Grant 2. I still have my HR2510 which I rarely own due to missing parts and attachments run a lot more, i leave it running from time to time and to prevent the lids from drying out i have always used high end radios and the so called "10m" export which tends to be terrible on ssb to drift has the same cold leads that are soldered or the same permanent board cracks as any other model offered with ept3XXX series boards. Swing kit or some newly found so called tweak that I had to remove or fix and fix the TX or RX section or mostly both, anyway that kicked the President out of the park once you figured out what all that was up to works in the menu and how to move the steps for the vfo it is very easy to use i like the fact that you can change the tone of the beeps which i set to 2480kHz which is close to the quindar outro tone from nasa which is the 2475 kHz is It's not too annoying when using FM with a distant station, adjusting the echo isn't as easy as it could be, it's nice to add a bit for noisy situations to help reduce it, although the Audio reports of QRM, SSB are clear and super clear. FM is crisp with no clipping, AM is a bit quiet which doesn't really matter but it's clean, the high pass filter is very good for getting rid of high frequency noise like on my Magnum 257, it's nice to be able to adjust echo with the two -way comms is needed then bring up the menu and turn it off, unlike my galaxies which never liked the ASC circuit too much even with unide CB radios as it can sometimes be too strong for weaker stations to squelch -area able to interrupt. all in all its not yaesu, kenwood or icom but has the potential to make a good cts contact with good sound reports on ssb and fm and with correct antenna setup as base or mobile am very happy with this radio every report was great with this radio, do not know why others have problems
