I like it. with reservation

I was first made aware of this as a teenager by an older brother or sister. I was looking for a breakfast substitute as I don't always have time to eat as much as I want in the morning. The instructions say not to use a blender, but my sister always did. I never understood why until I got it in the mail. First I used water and a submersible mixer to mix it. When I tasted it, it tasted like watered down cookies and cream. I was a bit surprised but since the directions said to use milk I figured I'd try milk next time. The second time I decided to follow the instructions. I mixed the ingredients as directed, "shake well". As I tried it, I realized how difficult it is for this powder to fully mix when encountering wet ingredients. I used water this time, but I was almost disgusted at how clumpy it was. When I drank it, I still got clumps of powder. I haven't consumed the product for several weeks because I've made several attempts to follow the instructions with changes to the mixing methods: use a spoon, put ingredients in a bottle and use it as a weight for a cocktail, I still have a mixer used but I tried not to make it taste watery without adding more than the recommended serving per serving. I've only tried it with water, soy milk, and milk. Finally, I tried a new method of mixing 4 ounces of water + 4 ounces of milk, cream, or soy milk + 1 scoop of spirutein. I use my hand blender and pulse to blend until fully combined and smooth. This was by far the best result. And yes, it tastes better when you use cold foods. Tip: Wash used items immediately! This mixture can cause you a lot of trouble if you let it dry in a cup.
