I had another popcorn maker that we used but the problem is the unpopped kernels were scattered all over the kitchen . He suddenly shot them out of little holes above and we couldn't stop him. I figured another popcorn maker would help. HOW IT WORKS It is packed very well in a box that protects it from damage. SMALL? This is a nice little popcorn maker. Its height corresponds approximately to the height of our kettle. CABLE The length of the cable is approximately 3 feet. Two pin connector. HOW IT WORKS? You pour in popcorn (1/3 cup or so) and then turn it on. Lid and cover present. You can probably melt butter in the lid, but I'd rather risk spilling it in the unit without using the oven. The popcorn pops and you're done. HOW IT WORKS? Well, that's another story. I was so excited to finally have a coffee maker that didn't throw grains in the kitchen. Instead, I have a popcorn maker that scatters popcorn all over the kitchen! I tried typing less. I tried putting a larger container in front of it. Nothing seemed able to control this popcorn spill mania. Eventually I got the idea to put it on some kind of stand, take a half gallon pitcher (the plastic pitcher you use for summer picnics) and put DAS on the front and bottom. Creator. It seems to help some. BOTTOM LINE I got this because I didn't want the cores strewn all over the kitchen. Mission accomplished. Now I need to figure out how to stop popcorn from spreading around the kitchen. I think maybe I'm almost there. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. It's good, it makes good popcorn, but throwing it in a pile is a bit of a hassle. At the very least, popcorn is easier to find than unpopped kernels. We don't eat that much popcorn so I can handle that, but I wish I didn't have to work so hard on it!
