WILL FIX YOUR MONITOR IF YOU TRY TO REMOVE!

This product did a great job protecting my Macbook Pro. After three months of use, it appeared to offer adequate protection and serve its purpose. That was until it was time to remove it. My Macbook started having audio problems (not related to this incident) so I took it to the store to have it sent in for repair. When I got to the store I was told I would have to remove the case before they could ship it. I started playing around with the suitcase and tried to take it off when I realized how hard it was to take it off. Three Apple employees and I watched a series of video instructions on how to remove the case, but for some reason the clips on the bottom half of the monitor wouldn't release the monitor screen. I broke both thumbnails trying to get them out and no staff member was able to remove them. After a while we all agreed that since everything else the video had told us didn't work, it would take a little more force to undo the clamps. I started trying a little harder when all of a sudden the entire monitor went blank. What started as a simple audio repair at no cost to me has now grown into a $100 monitor repair. If I didn't have insurance for my Macbook, it would cost hundreds of dollars to replace. After the monitor broke due to the pressure required to loosen the monitor's hooks, we (Apple staff and I) had to use plastic scissors to cut open the case and relieve the pressure so it could be removed. Numerous broken sketches, a broken monitor and now a broken Macbook sleeve. . . we were finally able to film it. It ended up costing me $100 to fix my monitor and $80 for the already destroyed UAG Macbook screen protector.
