I've had these headphones since March 2012 and I've had no problems using them. I use it with Motorola XTS 5000. Hardware is fine. Connecting and disconnecting is quick and easy. It stays connected even without using the security screw. The wire itself is solid. The coil tube and liner can be easily replaced if necessary. I personally don't need the included headphones so I bought the other style separately which is a cheap fix at around $5-7. As for the sound quality, I've never had any problems. As part of my work, I am often in close proximity to helicopters hovering overhead, which do not cause any problems with hearing or clear speech. All in all it's worth the money. I've had co-workers who've spent twice as much money for inferior quality. UPDATE (4/9/2013): It's been about a year since original purchase and it's still holding up. The cable is still intact and the plug works like the first day. The only thing I had to replace was the liner due to normal wear and tear.
